Parents or legal guardians are responsible for items checked out by children under the age of 18 and their incurred financial obligations.

Any person with a restricted, blocked, or barred library card because of overdue materials, unpaid library fines or fees, damage to library materials, or other abuses of privilege may not sign as a responsible party as parent or legal guardian for a minor child on an application for a library card, nor grant permission for a minor child to use library electronic resources.

If a parent or legal guardian's library card becomes restricted, blocked, or barred, all children's cards for which they have signed will also be restricted, blocked, or barred until the parent or guardian's delinquent items are returned and their financial obligations eliminated.

If a child incurs library fines or fees, has overdue library materials, or loses or damages an item or items beyond repair, the parent or legal guardian is responsible for returning delinquent materials and for the financial obligations of the child.

A parent's card will be blocked or restricted along with the child's card and any other children's cards for which that person has signed until delinquent items are returned and obligations are eliminated.
