The Mountain Regional Library is located at 698 Miller Street in Young Harris, Georgia. This is the headquarters for Administration and Regional staff of the Mountain Regional Library System, as well as a branch location for the City of Young Harris in western Towns County. MRL is situated across from the campus of Young Harris College and a few miles from Brasstown Resort. Sondra Vaughn is the Branch Manager.

In addition to a circulating collection strong on popular genre fiction and Large Print materials, MRL has large Reference and Genealogy Collections for researchers. The Appalachian Collection houses materials focusing on life, history, culture, music and customs of the southern Appalachian Mountains.
There are 12 Public Access Computers at MRL, with broadband access to the Internet and Georgia's virtual library of online databases, GALILEO. You will need your PINES library card to sign in to a computer; please view our computer services page for more details. Free round-the-clock public wireless service is also available for those with appropriately equipped mobile devices - a PINES account is not necessary to connect. In addition, there are 2 computers with games for young children, and there is no sign-up necessary to use them.

Throughout the year, Mountain Regional Library hosts book-signings by authors of local and regional interest. Guests this past year have included Governor Zell Miller, wildlife artist and children's book author Scott Anna, poet Glenda Barrett, novelist Katherine Bower, and Appalachian Trail hiker Paralee Dawson.
