Each of the three member counties comprising the Mountain Regional Library System is very fortunate to have its own active Friends of the Library organization that supports the mission of their local libraries through fundraising, volunteering, public awareness, and lobbying. State and national Friends of the Libraries groups offer support and training, and have a wealth of experience and information available. You may want to check out their websites.
- Friends of Georgia Libraries (FOGL) is a grassroots, statewide network that communicates the value of libraries as essential community services, supports local Friends organizations, and offers workshops for Friends and advocates of libraries.
- Friends of Libraries U.S.A. (FOLUSA) - The mission of FOLUSA is to motivate and support state and local library support groups across the country in their efforts to preserve and strengthen libraries, and to create awareness and appreciation of library services.
